The question I’m most often asked about Fillet of Souls is… what’s the story all about? Unfortunately, it’s not a question I can answer. It’s really up to the readers to decide. While I did have something in mind when I wrote it, it would be wrong for me to explain what it was because it would rob the reader of their role as final arbitrator and meaning maker. It’s the writer’s job to put the work out there, but the interpretation must be left to others. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the story if you have any. Hi there. I recently released a new short story called Fillet of Souls that describes two disembodied beings going out for dinner at a restaurant in deep space. It’s a bit of a departure from the kind of thing I normally write, but the idea popped into my head one day and refused to vacate until I wrote it down. So I wrote it down.
It’s only available in digital form on Amazon right now, but I’ll also be releasing it as an audiobook through Author’s Republic. It should be available just about everywhere in audible format in the next few weeks.
In addition to superb narration by my son Dave Millar, the audio version features an embedded music track designed to enhance the drama of the story.
Look for another post on Glenn’s Space in a week or two when the audiobook version is available.
